I’ve heard people recommend squats. What else? Are those ski exercise machines any good? I’m about to get into Masters skiing. Thanks.

I went on the school skiing trip last year and did loads of workouts for that but I read somewhere that actually a lot of "skiing exercises" don’t actually do anything to help you when skiing. Does anyone know any exercises/stretches, etc. that will help prepare me for skiing again (not anything to do with exercise machines please (I don’t have any))
